National announces free UFB connections for ‘virtually’ all NZ households

As National government inaction locks out Realm countries from high-internet connectivity, Communications Minister Amy Adams confirmed National has delivered on its commitment to connect virtually every New Zealand household to the Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) network – free of charge.

Porirua city set to have fastest free WiFi in Australasia by end of year

The free outdoor Wi-Fi area will cover from Tutu Place to Mungavin Bridge, and from Titahi Bay Road to Porirua Stream. Businesses in the same area will be able to connect to the gigabit-speed fibre network under contracts directly with Smartlinx3 or by way of a range of Internet service providers able to operate on the fibre network.
