Fiji Airways add more flights to Samoa from Australia
Fiji Airways is set to add extra flights to its Australia/Samoa route starting from 6th November.
The announcement was made in Sydney by Mr John Nickel, Fiji Airways Regional Manager for Australia.
“Our new schedule in the beginning of November will mean more frequency of flights from Australia to Apia via Nadi.” stated Mr Nickel.
“We’re also happy to accommodate some of the feedback from customers to reduce transit times, so there will only be 40 to 50 minutes stopovers for transit.”
Mr Nickel also confirmed the additional flights using their 737 aircrafts will fly four times a week (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday). While normal flights out of three Australian centres will be: Melbourne three times a week; Brisbane and Adelaide twice a week.
Mr Nickel also announced the airline will be offering special fares and packages targeting the Teuila Festival taking place in the first week of September. Extra interest for the 2017 edition of the annual tourism and cultural extravaganza will be the IBF Cruiserweight World Youth Title fight between Jai Opetaia of Samoa/Australia and American Frankie Lopez.
